Youth Storytelling & Poetry Workshop with Rajnii Eddins at Taswira
Middle College High School students attended a Youth Storytelling & Poetry Workshop that was held recently at the Taswira Cultural Art Gallery in downtown Seattle.
The workshop was entitled “The Value of Our Stories” and was facilitated by poet and educator, Rajnii Eddins, a 1998 graduate of Middle College High School.

Students were invited to join Poet, Educator and Speaker, Rajnii Eddins, for a collaborative writing workshop for youth at Cultural Art Gallery, in Pioneer Square.
They explored the power of spoken word. Students were able to participate in this special moment to engage in an inspiring conversation and creative workshop from Rajnii’s Book “The Value of Our Stories“
Meet the Author: Rajnii Eddins
A 1998 graduate of Middle College High School!
Originally from Seattle Washington, Spoken Word Poet/Emcee and Teaching Artist Rajnii Eddins has been engaging diverse community audiences for over 30 years. He was the youngest member of the Afrikan American Writers Alliance at age 1, founded by his mother, and has been actively sharing with youth and community in Vermont since 2010.
Rajnii’s diverse talents and passions allow him to offer a wide variety of powerful experiences that foster connection, learning, and mutual growth. He thrives at creating spaces that are educational, explorative, and celebratory, whether in a classroom, a conference hall, a community center, or online.
