Middle College HS Visited by Glen Pinkham in 2024

Our Middle College Beloved Community was blessed by a visit from Yakama Nation Elder Glen Pinkham, who attended one of our weekly morning circles. 

Event Details

Middle College students were honored with a visit from Yakama Nation elder Glen Pinkham. Glen brought his drum and bells to welcome everyone into the community and shared his family’s experience with traditional hunting of buffalo and elk. Glen emphasized the importance of the Yakama Nation’s treaty rights which have been their inherent traditional rights since time immemorial.

Freshman student Beckett Fant remarked “Glen brought his buffalo skin so we could see how heavy it was. Thank you, Glen, for sharing your knowledge. We loved it and would love to have you come back.”
