    Middle College High School

    MCHS is a service school option for students who want to earn credits for a high school diploma and prepare for higher education in a small, caring environment, which includes three unique schools, located in Northgate Mall, the Seattle U campus and UW campus. Each school offers core (i.e. Math, History, Language Arts, and Science) high school academic subjects that meet district requirements to graduate.  Our school day is from 8:45am-3:35pm; Wednesdays 8:45-2pm.

    MCHS sites share a common mission to encourage the development of community, personal responsibility and active learning. Students attend daily classes in a small, personal environment where each student receives individual help and instruction from the friendly teaching and support staff. Each Middle College High School site envisions its graduates performing with college level proficiency in writing and mathematics.​ Middle College is best suited for students who are committed to their own success but have difficulty learning in larger environments, have anxiety and depression or simply need more one-on-one support from teaching staff.
