    Dear Middle College Community,

We will hold the PSAT test on October 10th at 8:45am at our Northgate campus. Any 10th or 11th grade student has the opportunity to take this test free of charge. Please arrive on time to be checked in and the test begins promptly at 9am with no late arrivals allowed once the test has commenced. This test provides entry into National Merit Scholarship consideration and is practice for the SAT, which is another test that is required for admission to many colleges and universities. The test is 2 hours and 55 minutes long and that time includes a short break. Practice questions are available at https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/psat-nmsqt-psat-10/inside-the-test .

What you are allowed to bring:

    • Two No. 2 pencils with erasers (we will have pencils on hand as well)
    • An approved calculator (let us know if you need a calculator and we can provide one for that section of the test)
      • Graphing calculator (most models permitted)
      • Scientific calculator
      • Four-function calculator (not recommended)
      • No calculators should be able to have Internet access or make noise.

    • Protractors, compasses, rulers
