Ida B. Wells School of Social Justice

The Ida B. Wells School of Social Justice is located on the campus of the University of Washington. Our partnership is with the Office of Minority Affairs. This allows our students to participate in college activities that help enrich their experience on the University of Washington campus.

Students meet each day for a gathering called “convergence,” which builds meaningful relationships that provide the foundation for the academic program.

Social and Environmental Justice is embedded in our small college prep high school courses.

    Who can attend?
Middle College High School programs are open to all students, sixteen or older, who may or may not be thriving in their present school environment and who are looking for an educational option to prepare for college and complete their high school graduation requirements in a small school setting.

If you are interested in becoming a Middle College student please complete our referral form and attend our next orientation.

Please contact Kattie Jones at,, for more information on orientation times.
